Privacy policy

This policy describes what data the Unload app collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the Unload mobile app (iOS and Android), published by Mountains Studio LLC.

What we collect

Account data

• Anonymous identifier — on first launch, an anonymous account is created (Firebase Authentication) so your progress is saved without asking you anything.
• Named account (optional) — if you choose "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple": the email address and first name passed on by the provider. Signing in is optional; the app works entirely without an account.

Usage data

• Calibration and sessions — your answers to the calibration quiz (sensation, intensity), your sessions (ritual, duration, self-reported calm score, mood). This data is self-declared: Unload measures no physiological signal whatsoever.
• Subscription — status, purchased product and renewal date, synchronised by our purchase provider (RevenueCat). We never access your payment details, which are handled exclusively by the App Store or Google Play.
• Analytics and stability — anonymised usage events (Amplitude, Firebase Analytics) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics), to improve the app.

Where this data goes

It is hosted and processed by our technical subprocessors: Google Firebase (authentication, database, analytics, crashes), RevenueCat (subscriptions) and Amplitude (product analytics). No data is sold, nor shared for advertising purposes.

How long we keep it

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account erases your authentication data and your profile (calibration, sessions, subscription) within 30 days — see Delete my account.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port and object to the processing of your data. To exercise it, write to us at support@unload-app.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr), the French data protection authority.
